On February 14th, China Maritime Museum initiated a series of educational activities named "The First Class of the New Semester" into the Yangtze River Delta Region in Jiashan County. Through the collaborative efforts among the museum and multiple schools, vivid maritime culture classes were presented to the students from five primary and secondary schools in Jiashan County. This initiative effectively helped young people unlock the mysteries of China's blue civilization.
On that day, China Maritime Museum signed cooperation agreements with five schools, including Dayun Central School in Jiashan County and Jiashan No. 2 Senior High School. The lecturers of China Maritime Museum, together with volunteer experts, delivered thematic lectures on ancient maritime civilization, modern maritime life, and the knowledge of navigation marks and lighthouses to over 1,100 students from these five schools.
Meanwhile, by donating popular science books on navigation and lending out ship models for exhibition, the "Maritime Culture Corner" has been established in the schools as planned. This integration deeply implants maritime culture into the campus, creating an immersive learning scenario for students.
