Since September 2024, travelers could visit the archive and cultural relics exhibition “From the Historical Echo of the ‘Silk Road’ to the Practice of the 'Belt and Road’ in Shanghai” in Shanghai Pudong International Airport T1 Terminal. This exhibition is jointly organized by the First Historical Archives of China, Shanghai Municipal Archives, China Maritime Museum, and the Shanghai International Airport Co.. In the following year, this exhibition will tell the story of China, the Silk Road and Shanghai to the world in Pudong International Airport.
From November to December 2024, the “The Miracle Book of Marco Polo's Travels and the Silk Road Exhibition” went out of the museum and was displayed in Xintiandi Metro Station. Jointly organized by Shanghai Library, Shanghai Shentong Metro Group and China Maritime Museum, this exhibition actively served the public and promoted the influence of maritime culture.
In 2024, relying on the long-term partnership and highlight project cooperation, China Maritime Museum installed a series of graphic exhibitions and its mascot “Hai Beibei” in Dishui Lake Metro Station to create an atmosphere of maritime culture and contribute to the cultural brand construction of Lin-gang Special Area of Shanghai.
