In November, China Maritime Museum Journal National Maritime Research Vol.33 was published. A total of 12 papers were published in this volume, 5 of which are the research achievements based on the National Social Science Fund projects.
This volume of National Maritime Research is a special issue on the “Maritime Exchanges in the East Asian Sea Area from the 16th to the 19th Century", which gathered research results of Chinese and foreign scholars from Fudan University, Nankai University, Jinan University, Kyoto University in Japan, Utrecht University in the Netherlands. From the aspects of trade networks, commodities and goods, material culture, concepts of foreign lands, technology and art, the relevant researches constructed a landscape of maritime exchanges between China and Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Portugal, and other European countries since the Age of Exploration, reflecting the historical development and changes in the East Asian sea area. It is an important presentation of the research achievements on the history of exchanges in the East Asian sea area in recent years.
