On June 2nd, under the guidance of Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, organized by China Maritime Museum, and supported by Shanghai SMG Oriental Culture and Expo，the departure ceremony of "Spark Sailing Far and Wide · China Before China - One Hundred Groups to One Hundred Cities Volunteer Service Project" was held at China Maritime Museum. Leaders from Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, China Maritime Museum, SMG Oriental Culture and Expo, and more than 10 universities in Shanghai, as well as over 100 university student volunteer representatives, gathered at the ceremony.

This project leverages the opportunity for university students to return home for summer and winter vacations and participate in social practices, to spread maritime culture across the country through volunteer service projects. Since its launch in the summer of 2022, the project has organized over 40 teams of volunteers and reached more than 50 cities, delivering over 100 exhibitions, popular science lectures and educational activities, benefiting more than 20,000 people.
