On March 9th, 2024 Shanghai Model Sailing Competition kicked off in China Maritime Museum. The competition was co-hosted by China Maritime Museum, Shanghai Marine Model Association and Shanghai Science & Technology Sports Center. The competition has 4 divisions throughout the year and is held in March, July, September and November. The range of competition covers motorboat racing, stimulation sailing, etc.

The competition lasted for 2 days in China Maritime Museum and Lin-gang Special Area City Park. It attracted nearly 200 players to participate in Radio-controlled sailing and endurance racing.
