The year of 2023 marked the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. To promote the spirit of the Silk Road and showcase the cultural heritage of the Maritime Silk Road, under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission and Zhangzhou Cultural and Tourism Bureau, the Special Exhibition of Zhangzhou Kiln Porcelain kicked off in China Maritime Museum on Nov. 10th. The exhibition was jointly organized by China Maritime Museum and Zhangzhou Museum.

The exhibition covers three parts, respectively “Millennium Heritage· A Niche in Ceramics System”, “Treasure of Earth & Fire Magnificence of Colors ”and “Long Silk Road Voyages Long Porcelain Culture Inheritance”, showcasing the development and influence of Zhangzhou kiln porcelains and their export.
