On July 10th, the new exhibition “Common Rise of River and Sea: The Yangtze River · Maritime Civilization Exhibition of Fine Archaeological Relics” was opened in China Maritime Museum in order to celebrate the 19th China Maritime Day. Guided by Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism (Shanghai Municipal Administration of Cultural Heritage), Yangtze River Basin Museums Alliance and Chinese Museums Association Maritime Museums Committee, the exhibition was jointly attended by 41 museums in 13 provinces and cities across the country. It is a special exhibition that marked with the largest number of first-class cultural relics, the most proportion of precious cultural relics and the widest participants since the inauguration of China Maritime Museum.
The exhibition is divided into four parts, namely “Origin of Civilization, Vicissitudes of Grand River, Flourishing River Ports, River-Sea Interaction and Integration”, displaying 180 pieces of fine collections, including 64 first-class cultural relics.
