The ceremony of issuing donation certificates and opening the Donation Exhibition Center was held in China Maritime Museum (CMM) on January 8, 2021, expressing gratitude to all sectors of society for their support to the collection work of CMM. Important donators and donation assistants, such as Yang Xing, the Secretary General of Shanghai Association of National Defense Science, Technology and Industry, Song Kun, the first Chinese woman sailing around the world, Wang Yi, the researcher of Shanghai History Museum, and Luo Dongping, a collection enthusiast, etc. were invited to attend the ceremony.

It was the first ceremony of issuing donation certificates after CMM reformed its donation system and completed the Donation Exhibition Center. In the future, the Donation Exhibition Center will aim to show the contributions made by the donors to the development of CMM collection system. The exhibits will be regularly replaced based on the donated collections to show the style of every important donor and donation, enhancing the donors’ sense of acquisition and honor.
