From July 5th to 11th, during the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China and the 17th China Maritime Day, China Maritime Museumlaunched its 5th Navigation Festival with research institutes, science popularization center, shipping and port companies, etc.The festival aimed at "responding to the call of the times and national strategies, serving port and shipping companies, and entertaining the public", with the theme of"exploration of the Moon, Ocean and Polar Regions".

Models of advanced equipment, like Long March-5 carrier rocket,Zhurong Mars rover, deep-sea manned submersible Fendouzhe and icebreaker Xuelong 2, were exhibited in the festival. By experiencing the exhibition, audiences can learn the achievement of China’s exploration of deep sea, space and polar regions .

In addition to the model and graphic-text exhibitions, China Maritime Museum provided interactive exhibits and activities such as VR experience of space, interactive reading of popular science books such as "Secrets of the Sailing Ship in Zheng He’s fleet", AI music workshop, 550 sailing model training camp, technology carnival for families at science night.The festival showed the vigorous development and remarkable achievements of China's science and technology and shipping industries under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and cultivated young people's interest in science and patriotism.
