On December 10th, “A Seed Sown in the Orient: The Exhibition to Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Completing the Construction of the Yangshan Deep Water Port” opened in China Maritime Museum. The exhibition panoramically presented Yangshan Port’s arduous journey from design to construction, from catching to leading.

The exhibition features three sections, namely, Solution, The Arduous Construction and A Prominent Port in the East. Yangshan Deepwater Port is the world’s first offshore container dock built on an offshore island. By adapting to the development of times and national strategies, Yangshan Port pioneered in the construction technology of a large modern container hub port area far from the mainland and relying on the complex terrain of reefs.
