On July 9th, the strategic cooperation signing ceremony between COSCO Boao Co., Ltd. and China Maritime Museum, as well as the opening ceremony of the Boao Digital Museum of China Maritime Museum, was held at the International Conference Center of Boao Forum for Asia. The museum is China’s first maritime-themed digital museum, jointly developed by COSCO Boao Co., Ltd and China Maritime Museum with strong support from COSCO Shipping Group. The first exhibition of the Boao Digital Museum, “Across Oceans, Linking the Future: The Maritime Epic from Zheng He to COSCO Shpping”, combines advanced digital displays with physical exhibits. Following the thread of connecting the past and the present, it showcases the cultural inheritance from Zheng He’s treasure ships in 1405 to the intelligent mega-vessels in 2025.
