On May 24th, China’s first “Youth Maritime Alliance”, dedicated to supporting the development of Shanghai international shipping center, was established at the China Maritime Museum. The first batch of alliance members include major SOEs such as Shanghai International Port Group Co., Ltd. (SIPG) and Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd., government agencies in the maritime sector such as the Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration and the Shanghai Maritime Court, and shipping-related service industries such as the Shanghai Shipping Exchange and the Shanghai Shipping Insurance Association, as well as cultural research institutions. 

The Alliance will focus on collaboration, service and growth of the young, leveraging the advantages and characteristics of young generation and providing support for the maritime youth. It will launch a series of high-quality activities to an exclusive “super social circle” for maritime youth, a comprehensive “super linkage” platform, and an “incubator” for shipping talents.
